Hippity Hoppity Monday!!

Hello all!

Spring is coming - I can feel it!  I know you'll think I'm crazy for making Christmas cards again; they are in spring colors, so bear with me:-)

I have a spring card and another scrapbook page to show, as well.

First is the page for the scrapbook - it's a view of Signal Hill in St John's, Newfoundland, and I put it on my all-time favorite paper from My Mind's Eye.  I used stamps from "Just Wanted to Say" and "Life's Little Moments" on this one.  I know the scenery looks bleak - the sun does not shine all the time in St. John's.  It is an incredible place and I never cease to marvel at the hardy souls that live there.  The first transatlantic signal was received here (from Marconi) around the turn of the last century (say 1901?).  The spectacular "View" from one of my recent postings was taken from this place.  It is high on a hill and was the center of St John's defenses for a couple of centuries.

Next up - a cute spring card of the warbler from "Music of My Heart."  I used the music background stamp as well, although it didn't show up in the photo.  I love the sentiment "life is a song, sing it loud,"  it stamped so well on this paper.  I added a musica heart mm my Unity November '09 SKOTM to get a few notes coming out of the bird's mouth.  This is for a color challenge, hence the parrotlike colors.  The little birdhouses are from American Crafts, I think from the Backyard set.  I love it!  I also used my New Martha Stewart grass punch and it works okay....

Last, but not least, my latest crop of Christmas cards for the SCS Christmas challenge - 10 cards per month...  I did them in spring colors and used stamps from "Kissmas & Mistletoe."  Seriously, I don't know how I could get through Christmas card-making without this tree.  It is my favorite Christmas stamp ever.

Have a wonderful week and beautiful holiday season, everyone!  And, remember to get your Ippity here!!!

Jennifer
