Springtime Hippity Hop!!

Okay, supposedly it is springtime but we had snow in Dallas on the 21st!  Here are a few projects I've worked on this week - first up - four cards for the SCS Christmas Card Challenge - I still have six more to go!  I was trying to use the pretty nontraditional colors this time with my Ippity stamps, of course.  Most of the stamped images are from "Kissmas & Mistletoe" and there is one from "Regal Greetings."

I kind of like them:-)  Here's an up close and personal view of one  - "Kissmas & Mistletoe" trees and "Regal Greetings" sentiment.  I also used my new Martha Stewart picket fence punch and some little flower brads.

Next, of course, is the scrapbook that I am still working on!  Some have asked if I made the stand - I actually bought this stand at a store in Allen, Texas called Personal Scrapbook.  I plan to paint it pale yellow so my mother can put it on her mantle and it will blend in with the rest of her decor.  First up is a photo of the train museum in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland.  I used the Martha Stewart punch here again and hid the pointy part of the fence to make it resemble a railroad track.  I used the letters from "Alphabetically Adorable," the little banner is from one of the scrapbooking kits and the sun is from a Unity kit.  We actually saw the sun for only a few minutes there - although we thought it was freezing, the locals came streaming out of their homes in shorts and tank tops and started walking.  Every one of them nodded to us and proclaimed it was a lovely day - truly inspiring since were wearing our coats and gloves and still shivering!

Last but not least today is a shot that has gorgeous colors - I paired it with "Fishy Philosophy" and "Because of You."  It cried out for the beautiful turquoise paper and a fish.  This is a photo of the boat we took from Bay Bulls near St John's, Newfoundland for a whale watch.  It was great - the crew played some Irish music and sang songs and we had a wonderful time.  The scenery is amazing.

Well, I guess that's it for today!  Leave some love and remember to visit all the other Hippity Hoppers today here.

Jennifer
