H{ippity} Hop!

This is my last H{ippity} Hop for the year and a time for reflection on the projects of the past few months, exactly the length of time I've been stamping!  At this time last year, I had no inkling that I would be a stamper today...  Here is one of my favorite cards with the perfect sentiment for this week.  I am looking forward to my next Ippity year!

Remember to leave some love for all the hoppers today - here they are.

Friends with Flair Friday!

This is the last FWF of the year, folks!  Last year I had no idea that I would be a stamper.  Somehow, I discovered it this summer and once I found Unity, I was hooked!  Many of my early projects were abject failures but here are a few that I really liked this year.

This is just a tiny sample - see my flickr gallery in the sidebar for a few more...

Check out the other blog hoppers here and remember to leave some love for everyone.  I think there's a blinkie out there somewhere for some lucky winner.  Enjoy all the blogs and everyone's fantastic creations!  Happy Holidays!

"H[ippity] Hop

Welcome to the second H[ippity} Hop - make sure you visit all the blogs today!  Click here if you missed them...

Today, again, it is about boxes and gift cards.  First up is a fabulous Asian inspired box on which I used one stamp from the "Devoted" set and one stamp from the "Just Wanted to Say" set.  I love this box - I think it is my best creation ever! Photographs just don't do it justice.  I know my recipient, a fellow stamper, is going to go crazy over this!

Next up is a gift card holder - I found the instructions somewhere on splitcoaststampers last week and thought it was a great and easy idea.  It's got an ippity tag and sentiment on it from "Just Wanted to Say."  I am really using this set a lot - way more than I thought I would when I first saw it.  Right now I'm in the middle of making a few sets of notecards using these sentiments.

That's what I've got to show you today!  Have a great day and make sure you leave some love for all the H[ippity} Hoppers today!!

Friends with Flair Friday

Well, I took the plunge for the second week in a row and decided to show off on the FWF Blog Hop.  I had so much fun last week and got so many lovely comments, I couldn't resist trying again...Last week, I was still working on my Christmas cards - now that those are out of the way, I am working on boxes for small gifts for my coworkers.   I bought a Martha Stewart scoring board recently and making boxes has become a breeze!  It is a great product.

Here are a couple of cute boxes that use the Bitty Christmas stamps - they are adorable and they look fantastic on gift tags as well.  The tag on the pink box is actually from an Ippity set.  The snowman below is from Unity's November Store Kit of the Month - the other stamps are not Unity - love that snowman, though!

Thanks for stopping by and remember to visit the other blogs on the hop today - you can find the list here.  The blinkie is out there somewhere.  And, remember, get your Ippity here!!!

And, finally, my trademark stamp - I use it on the back of all of my cards now - it's from last December's kit "Little Reminders."  So apropos, no?
Happy Friday, everyone, remember to leave some love for all the FWF folks today!

H[ippity} Hop Here!!!

Happy Monday, everyone!  Welcome to the first H{ippity} Hop for the fabulous {ippity} stamp line from Unity.  If you haven't visited the rest of the participants, just click here to go to the {ippity} page.  If you've seen my previous posts, you know I am in full gear for Christmas.  I am finished with my Christmas cards now and have moved on to gift wrapping and box making!  I recently acquired the Martha Stewart scoring board and used the instructions for the 4" x 4" box to make a couple of fabulous containers.  The "Kissmas and Mistletoe" {ippity} stamps (available on this blog) made embellishing these boxes a breeze.  See?  I also used the tag from the "Just Wanted to Say" set.  I love the way these turned out.

Next up is a gift I wrapped - then used "Alphabetically Adorable" to identify the recipient.  I think it's kinda cute.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog.  If you need some {ippity}, remember to get it here!

Wow!!!

I am so happy that I participated in Unity's Friends with Flair.  I got so many wonderful and encouraging comments from people whose work I've watched and been inspired by over the past few months (since I started my papercrafting adventures in April of this year).  Thank you all!!  Tomorrow, I'll be in the H{ippity} Hop over here.  I can't wait to show off a couple of creations I made with my newly acquired Martha Stewart Scoring Board.  I found her Michael's coupon in the lastest issue of "Living" magazine and promptly spent it on the board.  With my discount, I got it for about $11.00.  I love using it - I've been making boxes that are included in the directions that came with the board, and I'll show you those tomorrow!!  They use 100% {ippity} stamps!  I'd love to spend the day making more of them but I'm off to a meeting and then a tree lighting at Fair Park.

See you again tomorrow!

Friday Friends with Flair

I've finally worked up enough courage to showcase a few of my designs with the incredibly talented folks I see on Unity's FWF every week!  I love the Unity and {ippity} products - the quality and designs are amazing.  I'm showing my Christmas cards here for the last time before I put them in the mail.  They are beautiful circles from Paper Source that I envisioned as instant ornaments for the recipients.  I hope they all enjoy them - each one is totally different from the next.  You may recognize several sets in this photo - "Joy and Wonder" (my favorite), "Christmas Bough," and "Bright and Merry Winter Wishes."  They all look beautiful!

Here are a couple of more examples - as you can see, I emboss everything! I love that shiny look....

Of course, I wouldn't be an [ippity] chick if I didn't make some cards from "Kissmas and Mistletoe."

Thanks for hopping by and remember to leave some beautiful comments for the rest of the bloggers today - maybe you'll even find the blinkie!  If you missed the rest of the hop, just click here for the Unity blog.

Have a fabulous Friday!!!

Christmas Card Making Marathon

I spent the day making attractive gift wrapping for presents that children will be tearing apart on Christmas. I also made some more Christmas cards using the new Ippity stamps.  I don't have photos yet but here are some Unity ones----

Christmas Cards

I have been having fun creating fabulous ornament-like Christmas cards on these great cards and envelopes I got at Paper Source.  I've got red circles with green envelopes and green with red.  I found a cute little green and red print paper to line the envelopes.  The cards have ribbon at the top so a recipient can put in a hook and hang it on their Christmas tree.  The reverse side has a stamped and embossed sentiment as well as our signatures (used a Versamark pen for that).

Here are two that I did from the new Ippity collection "Kissmas and Mistletoe," now available for sale right here, for $18.00.  Just send me an email if you would like to purchase it and I'll send you an invoice.  Once I receive payment, I'll ship it - I will pay any applicable sales tax and shipping...  I promise you will love this set!

Christmas Creation

I have been busy creating dozens of cards for DAR to sell at the State Fair and to sell at a church bazaar this weekend - hope that's going well:-)  I've got a beautiful creation here - found this fantastic paper in the markdowns at Ross - my Unity Christmas tree stamps fit perfectly on it.  Here's a sample...

Here's my Unity Bachelor entry for this week!!

This is my entry to celebrate the start of the State Fair.  I don't know that it has a shot at winning but it has drawn two nice comments on the splitcoaststampers.com.

Cards, Cards, Cards!!!

I've been off line for a couple of weeks trying to create 100 cards for the State Fair bazaar table - I didn't quite make it but I did make some fabulous cards and I hope they sell!!!

Here's one I love....  I used my Stylin' Stars from Unity and a star background from Hero Arts.  I embossed the stars so they are shiny - it doesn't show up well here, but trust me, it looks cool.  The ribbon was from the Target dollar bin (marked down to a quarter!!!!) and the note card was from Paper Source.  I love that store!!!

A New Card

Here's a card with great stamps - it didn't come out as I had hoped - the photo colors are a bit off but it is bright and cheery.  Perfect for our photographer:-)

Newest Creation!

This is a going away/housewarming card for our favorite couple - they have moved about 1200 miles away just a few months after getting married.  I wanted to emphasize that life is a journey and this is just a stop to record in their travelogue...inside I stamped "It is not adieu."  I used brown cardstock and stamped Stampin' Up French Script in aqua for the background.  I then used a map from Alluring Impressions and stamped in brown on aqua paper.  Underneath is a gold and copper patterned ribbon with a cute brad that says "Believe."  The word "Travelogue" is stamped on aqua paper and I embossed with copper embossing powder.  The card looks rich and beautiful in person and the photo, unfortunately, does not do it justice.  I love it, though:-)

First Weeks of Papercrafting Adventures!!!

Okay, I don't need a new hobby but I got the bug and have been making cards for weeks now.  I had been collecting scrapbooking supplies for several years but was too intimidated to make those large layouts.  However, I made a wedding card for a special couple a few months ago and have been compelled to study card-making ever since!  My favorite sources are Unity Stamp Company and Paper Source.  I took a screwpost photo album class at Paper Source a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it.  I love their papers and have lined bunches of envelopes with their fantastic papers using their liner templates.  I have ordered several items from Unity and have received every one within three days of my initial order.  Super customer service!!  In addition, I've been studying some old stamping magazines as well as a new Stampington one.  I copied the idea for this card from Jinny Luga - I have been obsessed with this card since I first saw it!
