Friends with Flair Friday!!!!

Welcome to today's hop!  I can't believe it's the end of January!  Since winter is nearly over, I decided to go with a spring theme.  These are so easy - the hardest part is picking the sentiment to go with them.

I love this photo - these hollyhocks were growing in front of a brownstone on Newbury Street in Boston.  They were just gorgeous so I took this photo ....I matted the photo on pink paper and used the perfect sentiment from "Birdie Inspiration."

Here is a card with my favorite stamp of all time (Unity, of course) - the ferris wheel - I embossed it in copper and embossed the sentiment in silver.  One panel has the distressed dots background embossed in silver as well.  Next time I try this, I'll do some distressing on the paper too.... Both stamps are from "100% Happy."

Finally, a beautiful butterfly photo from the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin.  It needed just one stamp "Bliss" from "Little Reminders."  I love this photo that my husband took and I think this butterfly was experiencing bliss when it found these flowers.

Well, I guess that's it for today - remember to keep warm and that spring is just around the corner!  Remember to leave some love for all the bloggers today as you hunt for the blinkie - if you missed them, just click here to go back to the Unity blog.

Have a great weekend!!

Hippity Hop Monday!!

Welcome Monday [H]ippity Hoppers!  We are all getting so excited about the forthcoming Ippity releases - I think they'll be as fabulous as the current crop...let's get started!

Here's my IHHC7 Challenge card - black with white as the neutral and red as the color.  I think it came out great!  It uses images from "Devoted," and "Because of You," and the sentiment from "Straight from the Heart."

This card (with the now infamous Asian paper) uses the birdcage and sentiment from "Because of You."  I really like this set.

And, finally, Christmas cards.  I discovered the SCS CCC10 Challenge and realized that I can stamp Christmas cards all year long!  No set is more versatile than "Kissmas and Mistletoe" from Ippity.  I adore this tree stamp.  So, I have already completed ten of my Christmas cards to send out this year.  Hopefully, when Christmas comes I'll remember where they are:-)

In honor of the blog hop, I am running on one-day sale on two sets - "Devoted," and "Life's Little Moments."  They are each $19.99 today and the first two orders get a bonus - a small acrylic block (cards pictured not included).  Shipping is free to U.S. purchasers - regular rates will apply to international orders.  Just go over to the sidebar and place your order!

If you want to see the rest of the blog hop, go back here .

Thanks for hopping by!

Crazy4Challenges Card C4C21

Think Pink!!!

That's not hard for me.  Here's my entry for the pink challenge... It didn't photograph very well but it is spring time pretty in person.  I used a stamp from Ippity's "Life's Little Moments."  The background paper is actually a hot pink glitter pattern paper that is gorgeous.   The flowers are from the Target dollar bin secured with a glam flower brad that came from Paper Wishes' discount area.

This will be put in the mail any day for a soon-to-be 17 year old girl...

Thanks for looking!

Friends with Flair Friday!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to another fabulous Friday filled with fun projects!!!  Here are a few cards that are variations of a lovely base card I got at Paper Source, some chiffon ribbon from the dollar store, and the wonderful stamps from Unity!!

First up, a butterfly and sentiment from my favorite set of all time, Bevy of Butterflies.  I didn't purchase it separately - I got it as the premium with my very first KOTM - now I don't know what I would do without it!  I have made all kinds of cards with this set  - it is especially lovely for sympathy cards, and here on a "love" card.   Then, that incredible journaling stamp with the pretty vine outline - I can't get enough of it!  That was from the August KOTM as were the images and sentiments on the second card.  I love that winged heart!  The sentiment on the third card is from the September Store KOTM - can't remember which set had that star but I love it too!

So, if you haven't got your Unity yet, you should check them out here .  And, remember to leave some comments for all the FWF bloggers today!!!

P.S. See you on the next [H]Ippity Hop and get your Ippity here!

Happy Friday,

Jennifer

Gift Bag Decorating!!!

Here's a cute little gift bag I decorated for a baby shower - the photo doesn't do it justice!  The paper is Fiskars Sparkle Cardstock from Cloud9Design - it's called Love Buds and is from the St. Valentine Collection.  It is just gorgeous!  I punched some butterflies from my fave Martha Stewart classic butterfly punch for the back of the bag...It's hard to see the pale green cardstock - I used a cuttlebug folder with birds on branches that is just lovely.  Remember to join me tomorrow for the Unity Friends with Flair blog hop.  it's sure to be fabulous!

Some More Ippity for Valentine's Day

Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much for all the comments you keep leaving for me - I appreciate each and every one...  Here are two cards I created this weekend for challenges (see my previous two posts).  I am still loving the Asian-inspired print paper and I still have some left so went ahead and used it for Mojo Monday 120 Sketch Challenge.  I love the way it turned out.  I used Ippity of course!  The heart stamp is from "Because of You" and the branch is from "Devoted."  If it looks familiar, it's because I used it on my Christmas box a few weeks ago - I absolutely love this stamp - it is so versatile.

The second card is the The Sweet Spot Challenge and uses stamps from "Straight from the Heart" along with some items from the Target dollar bin.  I like the bright colors.

So, here's wishing all of you a happy [H]ippity Hop and a great week!

First Flair of the New Year (For Me, Anyhow)

I hope everyone had a great holiday.  We went to Boston and Washington, DC for two weeks and had a wonderful time.  Now, we're back and I'm back to work so I haven't had much time to stamp.  Here are a couple of cards that remind me of the holidays 'cuz they're about pie!  The stamp is from one of my favorite sets, "Hodgepodge of Happiness."  These cards are pretty similar and would make a cute set if I did a few more.  The DP is from an old stack of photographic paper I bought several years ago.  I just love strawberries!  Here's wishing you all a great year and remember to leave some love for all the other FWF's!!!  If you missed them, just click here and start at the beginning of the list.

Have a great day!!

One More Variation!

Here's the last card I made last night - still need to do a few more....

First Blog Post of the New Year!

I've been away for a couple of weeks and haven't been able to do any paper crafting until this afternoon - I think I was in withdrawal!  I have signed on for the SCS Christmas Card Challenge for 2010 so expect to be making 10 Christmas cards per month - I don't know what I'll do with them all:-) (I do know - I will be sending the blank cards to our troops overseas so they can send them to their loved ones).

At any rate, now that Christmas is over, it's time for the thank you notes!  I used store-bought cards for a few of my notes but wanted to make something a little more special for others.  I found some beautiful blank red cards I bought in 2004 from Crane when the Dallas store closed down.  I bought a monogram stamp from Paper Source with a Christmas gift card I got along with some beautiful printed Japanese paper from Paper Source.  I also used a lovely thank you stamp from Inkadinkadoo that I bought from Jacksonbelle Embellishments before Christmas.  Last of all, I used the classic butterfly punch from Martha Stewart (I love this punch and use it all the time).  I decided to stick with these few items to make variations of a theme of thank you cards.  Here are some examples as well as the back of the envelope with the embossed "M."  They are pretty simple but still look elegant, I think.

That's it for now - back to making a few more variations on a theme!
