Moxie Fab - I Want to Ride My Bicycle

I have a bicycle stamp so this challenge was perfect!  It may not be innovative but I love the way this card turned out!  I used Ippity papers by October Afternoon and Unity stamps from the August 2009 Kit of the Month.

Hippity Hop!!

Happy Monday to everyone!  I've got a couple of projects to share today...

First up is my paper pieced card - I have been loving butterflies lately and used the same butterfly stamp this week as I used last week - last week I watercolored the images and this week, I paper pieced them and popped them out.  Eventually, I am going to get the card with the arrangement of butterflies I want but in the meantime, here's what I've got.  I used one of the new nestabilities labels and the Tim Holtz birdcage die that I love!!!

Next is a card I raced to make for the Mojo Monday challenge - unfortunately, I couldn't get it to upload correctly and just lost patience with trying.  I like it anyway:-)  This violet distress ink matched this floral rustic paper just perfectly, I'll be trying some more projects with these.  Of course, all the stamps are Ippity!

Remember to leave some love and visit all the other bloghoppers here.

And, get your Ippity here!

Mojo Monday 144

Here is my MojoMonday entry for this week:  I used Ippity stamps for these images.  It looked pretty good sitting in my rosemary plant on the patio!  The music is embossed on watercolor paper and smeared with a beautiful violet distress ink that went perfectly with this flowered paper from the DCW Rustic Stack and some cool ribbon that I found at Hobby Lobby a long time ago and never found anything to use it with....

Thanks for looking!!

FWF!!!

TGIF!!

I have two very modest projects today - first is a little bookmark for my 4H'er.  I used the blue ribbon from "Garden Variety," then stamped a number "1." and stamper her name in the little squares around the top.  I made two of them and connected them with a piece of paper, then attached magnets so it will hold on to the page.

The other item is an apron with the bird and a sentiment from "Brave Girl."  I was going for an artsy piece here - I love this apron template - it is my newest fave.  I am going to make lots more aprons as gifts and make a small magnetic bookmark to place in the pocket of each one.   Isn't this bird amazing?!!

Gotta go - off to a stamp class with a friend today.  Remember to visit all the other FWF'ers here.

Today only, order any set from me and receive "Books a Flutter" as a free gift!!!

Hippity Hop

Well, today is Monday - only three days left till vacation!!  Maybe I'll have time to make a few paper projects....

Here is my project for today - a "flat" card - no pop dots, no layers, no ribbon, no buttons, brads, or anything that pops off the page.  I used the butterfly from "Now and Always," and the sentiments from "Faith Blooms."  This was really the first time I used watercolor pencils - I had a little trouble controlling the water but, overall, I am happy with the result and I'll try it again soon!  I thought about taking a craft knife around the butterfly wings to make them pop out but I think I'll try that on my next butterfly project.

Have a happy Monday and visit all the other participants and remember to leave them some love.

Another JustRite Stampers Challenge

I can't tell you how excited I was to find these JustRite stamps a couple of weeks ago.  This week's challenge is to make a bookmark - so I made some magnetic ones I've been thinking about for some time now.  I found this adorable apron template here and added my own twist to it.  I decided to make some little favors for a cooking class, maybe for a bachelorette party.  The aprons stand up but each pocket contains a little magnetic bookmark.  They came out looking so adorable that I plan to give them as gifts - along with a magnetic hook for the refrigerator.  So, when you are cooking, you can take the bookmark out and mark your recipe page.

Of course, all I own is this cute little set called "Homemade Treats" so my entry had to have a cooking theme.  I used several of my fabulous Ippity papers and I think these little aprons look pretty cute!

Leave some love and wish me luck:-)

Just Rite Stampers

I found the coolest stamping system at the scrapbook convention in Arlington almost two weeks ago - so I purchased a pink round block and a couple of selections of round elements.  Lo and behold, I saw some samples on Eva's blog the other day along with this conest.  I figured it wouldn't hurt to try it out.  Here's my entry.  Unfortunately, as usual, I'm taking pictures in the dark.  Hopefully, this is visible:-)  Thanks for looking!!

Of course, the recipe is for a frozen strawberry drink - a pint of hulled strawberries, some ice cubes, a bit of frozen cranberry juice concentrate, throw in the blender for a perfect drink for summer!

Enjoy and thanks for the challenge!

Hippity Hop

Well, my first attempt at using distress inks is here!  I used a cuttlebug folder to emboss the card front panel and then I used the foam blender tool to cover the card in the beautiful chipped sapphire distress ink.  The stamps are from "Fishy Philosophy," and "Just Wanted to Say."  I used distress ink on the "tree" too.  For some reason, I like the look of this stamp as a tree.  I think it's really underwater vegetation but nobody has to know that:-)  The ribbon here is actually light blue but it kind of turned white in the photo.

After three days of organzing my craft area, this is all I have to show today!  Happy Monday everyone and remember to get your Ippity here!!

Hippity Hop

I am still recovering from the scrapbook convention - I have to totally reorganize my stuff now because I have too much of it!  I tried out a couple of new toys for this tiny project - excuse the bad photo but it is kind of dark out now:-)  I used my new blue Glimmer Mist on the bird cage that I cut from a new Sizzix Tim Holtz birdcage die and my new chipped sapphire distress ink on the little birds.  I also scored the Nestabilities label that matches the label stamp for half price!  I haven't had a chance to use it and I only had a few minutes to put something together with my fabulous Ippity stamps...I can see this die used for fabulous gift tags.  It was really cool when Tim Holtz demonstrated this die using grungeboard but I didn't have a chance to get any (read "didn't want to cart it around all day").

This fabulous label stamp is from the "Season of Joy" set - I would have bought this set for the great labels alone!  The birds are from "Fall For You," and the sentiment is from "A Moment in Time."

I can't tell you how much I love these Ippity stamps!!  Remember to buy some here and visit all the other hoppers here.

TGIF and FWF

Yippee, I'm taking the day off to go to a scrapbooking convention.  I am very excited since I've never attended one - I know I will be sorely tempted by all the goodies:-)  I guess I can go overboard since I celebrated my one-year obsession with stamping this past weekend:-)

This is my current project - I wanted to try to stamp on tiles and make coasters - even better since each of these tiles cost only 32 cents at Lowe's!  I used my beautiful "Butterfly Beauty" set with a dragonfly that I won in a 25-random bag from Unity on FWF, of course.  These are beautiful large butterflies that I stamped with black Staz On and masked so I could stamp over with a word stamp.  I used chalk to color the butterflies very subtly...

Let me know what you think!  These will make a gorgeous gift for someone and they cost about $1.50 a set!  They will be fabulous handmade gifts for some of the people I work with and that I like to get modest gifts for - they will be thrilled, I'm sure!

Hmmm,  I was thinking earlier that my next set will use a portion of the Unity "Lovely Lilacs" single that I have - that will be beautiful with some chalk pastel coloring....

That's it for today!  Remember to visit all the other blogs on the hop here. And, get your Ippity here!
