Memorial Day Blog Hop

I am so excited about participating in the OWH Blog Hop.  First of all, what this organization does is amazing!   Second of all, it was a Memorial Day weekend in 2009 when I discovered (1) stamping, and (2) Operation Write Home.  My husband still rues the Memorial Day weekend he left me home by myself to go camping with his son and returned to find a house full of stamps and papercrafting supplies.  I found the illustrious Jennifer McGuire along the hop and she showed me that stamping was actually not as hard as I thought!  It was life-changing.  A trip to Joann's and Michael's immediately after watching her YouTube videos and, now, a full-time love of card making....

The soldiers and their family members who receive these cards absolutely love them and appreciate them more than we could ever know.  It is up to you whether you want to send an Anyhero card with a message to a soldier, or blank cards for a soldier to send to loved ones.  In other words, a win-win...

To celebrate my fifth stampaversary, leave a comment and I will draw a winner who will receive a Unity Stamp set.  It is a newer set  called "Everything Love."  I promise you will love it!

Remember to honor all our military service members, veterans, and the fallen on Memorial Day and every day.  Their sacrifices have made our country possible.

Remember to salute a hero today!!!

Jennifer

I love the way you used patterned paper for the dresses, pinwheels, and butterfly. Paper piecing isn't my strong suit since I've only done it once, but using dies would work. Thanks for the inspiration.

HAPPY STAMPAVERSARY! I don't have a cute story on how I became addicted to stamping like you do, but I know my hubby looks around or home and there is no escaping my addiction, it's everywhere. He finds my stashed supplies that I've hidden so he wouldn't see me coming in with more and more stuff! His motto is "Happy wife, happy life". (I love him so much!)
I have to say that your pin wheel card is my favorite... pin wheels make me happy and remind me of being a kid and running around with my pin wheels!
Thanks for your dedication to OWH. Just think, if your hubby never left you home alone, w we Wouldn't be looking at your cards today!
