More Summery Goodness!
Happy Friday! It's the first day of vacation and although I didn't set the alarm, the alarm with fur came in and swatted me at the regular time anyway:-)
I was so taken by Lesley Langdon's fruit cards with distress stains the other day that I wanted to try them with a twist. Pretend you don't have those fabulous Unity stamps she was using and that instead you have Ippity's "Thoughts from the Past" and "New Season, New Wonder." Also, you don't have Copics or distress stains. Hmmmm, what to do....this is a good entry for the summer challenge over at Unity, too.
Well, you use the Tattered Angels Chalkboard mist in Cotton Candy with a spritz of Strawberry Shortcake to imitate the water drops. Let it dry and stamp "Thoughts from the Past" in black hybrid ink. I also stamped "Thoughts from the Past" in Versamark for a little interest on the white card. Then, I used red Hero Arts layering paper to stamp my apple with Fired Brick Distress Ink. A little green Maya Road pin gives it a more finished look. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a good photo of how shimmery the pink is but I still love it. (I wouldn't have even bought these mists but I found someone at a show closing them out for four bottles for $5 - now I love them and would pay full price:-))
So, admit it, you need these two sets "Thoughts from the Past" and "New Season, New Wonder." I have both of them and I can ship them to you right now, postage prepaid in the Continental U.S. Just sidle on over to the sidebar for the "Summer Challenge Special" ...in fact, just go to the top of my blog for a package deal on the two sets - 10% through this Sunday...
Happy Friday!
