This is my last H{ippity} Hop for the year and a time for reflection on the projects of the past few months, exactly the length of time I've been stamping! At this time last year, I had no inkling that I would be a stamper today... Here is one of my favorite cards with the perfect sentiment for this week. I am looking forward to my next Ippity year!
This is the last FWF of the year, folks! Last year I had no idea that I would be a stamper. Somehow, I discovered it this summer and once I found Unity, I was hooked! Many of my early projects were abject failures but here are a few that I really liked this year.
Welcome to the second H[ippity} Hop - make sure you visit all the blogs today! Click here if you missed them...

Well, I took the plunge for the second week in a row and decided to show off on the FWF Blog Hop. I had so much fun last week and got so many lovely comments, I couldn't resist trying again...Last week, I was still working on my Christmas cards - now that those are out of the way, I am working on boxes for small gifts for my coworkers. I bought a Martha Stewart scoring board recently and making boxes has become a breeze! It is a great product.
I am so happy that I participated in Unity's Friends with Flair. I got so many wonderful and encouraging comments from people whose work I've watched and been inspired by over the past few months (since I started my papercrafting adventures in April of this year). Thank you all!! Tomorrow, I'll be in the H{ippity} Hop over here. I can't wait to show off a couple of creations I made with my newly acquired Martha Stewart Scoring Board. I found her Michael's coupon in the lastest issue of "Living" magazine and promptly spent it on the board. With my discount, I got it for about $11.00. I love using it - I've been making boxes that are included in the directions that came with the board, and I'll show you those tomorrow!! They use 100% {ippity} stamps! I'd love to spend the day making more of them but I'm off to a meeting and then a tree lighting at Fair Park.
I've finally worked up enough courage to showcase a few of my designs with the incredibly talented folks I see on Unity's FWF every week! I love the Unity and {ippity} products - the quality and designs are amazing. I'm showing my Christmas cards here for the last time before I put them in the mail. They are beautiful circles from Paper Source that I envisioned as instant ornaments for the recipients. I hope they all enjoy them - each one is totally different from the next. You may recognize several sets in this photo - "Joy and Wonder" (my favorite), "Christmas Bough," and "Bright and Merry Winter Wishes." They all look beautiful!
I have been having fun creating fabulous ornament-like Christmas cards on these great cards and envelopes I got at Paper Source. I've got red circles with green envelopes and green with red. I found a cute little green and red print paper to line the envelopes. The cards have ribbon at the top so a recipient can put in a hook and hang it on their Christmas tree. The reverse side has a stamped and embossed sentiment as well as our signatures (used a Versamark pen for that).
In the next few days, I'll have the Ippity stamp line from Unity for sale...you'll be able to pay through Paypal and I'll ship your stamps to you!
I have been busy creating dozens of cards for DAR to sell at the State Fair and to sell at a church bazaar this weekend - hope that's going well:-) I've got a beautiful creation here - found this fantastic paper in the markdowns at Ross - my Unity Christmas tree stamps fit perfectly on it. Here's a sample...
I've been off line for a couple of weeks trying to create 100 cards for the State Fair bazaar table - I didn't quite make it but I did make some fabulous cards and I hope they sell!!!
This is a going away/housewarming card for our favorite couple - they have moved about 1200 miles away just a few months after getting married. I wanted to emphasize that life is a journey and this is just a stop to record in their travelogue...inside I stamped "It is not adieu." I used brown cardstock and stamped Stampin' Up French Script in aqua for the background. I then used a map from Alluring Impressions and stamped in brown on aqua paper. Underneath is a gold and copper patterned ribbon with a cute brad that says "Believe." The word "Travelogue" is stamped on aqua paper and I embossed with copper embossing powder. The card looks rich and beautiful in person and the photo, unfortunately, does not do it justice. I love it, though:-)
