Growing in Unity - Day Five Finale

It's Day Five - my final GIU day.  It has been a blast and I appreciate all your kind comments.  Unity makes me feel creative and those stamps just speak to me💖

First is a flower from Holly Hoffman's "Wild Florals."  I watercolored it, fussy cut, and added to a silver and white patterned panel I had in my stash.  So easy to put together!  The sentiment is from a sentiment kit, of course - "So Very Grateful" from Jan 2018.  The lighting is not good with these metallic finishes - it looks great in real life, I promise!

I absolutely love this swan from the "Grow in Grace" sentiment kit.  Isn't it lovely?  The sentiment is from the sentiment kit "There Is No Reason."  I absolutely love the font.

Thanks for stopping by this week.  Remember to leave comments on all my posts for a chance to win $20 credit to the Unity store.

Stay safe and I'll see you on the Unity pages!

Growing in Unity - Day Four

Day Four!  Here are my cards for Day four - again with the hoarded pattern paper backgrounds and some coloring of a fabulous image.  This is "Margaret Girl," one of my go-to birthday card stamps.  I love her stance and the balloons help give it more color.  The sentiment is from the Aug 2018 sentiment kit "There Is No Reason."  I love the font on this sentiment!

My other card is totally from this sentiment kit.  The flower is huge!  And the sentiments are all wonderful.

If you want to invest in something versatile and you have a limited budget, pick one of these kits.  You get an amazing large image that fills up your card, and lots of versatile sentiments.  Totally a bargain!

I hope you are having an amazing week and be sure to leave a comment for a chance to win a $20 credit at the Unity site.

Growing in Unity - Day Three

Day 3 of my week - can't believe it is half over already.  Again with the purple!  I love this giant stamp - it is simply stunning and takes up the whole card.  Again, not.a great colorer but I loved the colors with his beautiful background paper (from my hoarding stash). Sorry for the bad photo - that watercolor paper is a bit heavy and just doesn't want to stand up straight.

An absolutely beautiful stamp set  called "You Are Forever Beautiful."
And, for a change of pace, here is my custom stamp from Nic Magnuson.    To order, just click "Custom Stamps" on the Unity website banner and you can work with Nic to get one that is just right for you.  I put this on all my cards.  It has a little whimsy and it is my name, after all.

Be sure to leave a comment for a chance to win a $20 credit to the Unity store and make sure you come back tomorrow for more creations!

Happy Wednesday, all!!

Growing in Unity - Day Two

Here we are, already on Day Two of my Growing in Unity week!  I might like the color purple.  I have been on a mission to use up my patterned paper as card backgrounds. That might take another 20 years - I do love a beautiful patterned paper.   Another painted flower - beautiful tulips from one of my favorite Kits of the Month, on top of some great purple glitter paper.

Purple or periwinkle?  My theme is purple so we'll go with that.  I absolutely love the way this turned out.  I don't think the sentiment is Unity, though.  But I love these flowers.  So easy to color.

Thanks for stopping by and remember to leave a comment for a chance to win a $20 credit to the Unity shop!

Growing in Unity - Memorial Day

It is Memorial Day, a day for somber reflection about the heroes who have sacrificed everything for our country's freedom.  I am proud to be an American, even with all the work we have to do as a nation.

This is also the weekend for the Unity Memorial Day sale - lots of goodies over there so check it out!   The sale ends on May 31.  I am honored to be the Growing in Unity host this week.  Remember to leave comments this week on each post for your chance to win $20.00 at the Unity shop.

A little history - this is also my Stampversary.  I discovered stamping and Unity on Memorial Day Weekend of 2009 when my husband and stepson decided to go camping.  Once they were out of the house, I came across the OWH (Operation Write Home) blog and Memorial Day blog hop and found someone using Unity on one of the stops.  I raced over to the Unity site and placed my first order.  I do order a few things from other companies now and then but no company speaks to me like Unity. I love their stamps and amazing design team and, of course, the beautiful people of Unity. Angela is such a positive person and I love seeing Nic and Whit getting really involved in the business.  And the employees are the best - customer service is unmatched!  Of course, it all stems from their beautiful red rubber stamps.

It has been a while since I had a chance to make a card and I am a little rusty so bear with me.  Although these cards are not perfect, I sent them out anyway.  Everyone appreciates a card you made yourself!

As you can see, I am not the greatest at coloring, but I love these cacti.  Even I couldn't ruin this fabulous image from a past Kit of the Month. These kits are an amazing value and the images are huge!  I mean, look at this kit!  I had to stop my subscription because I have no more space to store them and refuse to part with any. You'll feel the same way - won't want to part with any!

I have some favorite artists at Unity - okay, well I love them all.  This is from a Graciellie set - I absolutely love her images - they are beautiful.

Again, not the best coloring but this image I stunning.  Here is the set it is from.  The "thanks" is from another set - these beautiful sentiments didn't fit on this card but I will be using them!

I hope you get some ideas from this post and I'll see you tomorrow!
