FWF and Will Summer Ever End?

I am ready for Friday and for my friends with flair!!!!  It is still 100 degrees here and I am ready for some cooler air.  Even 95 would do:-)

Here are a few easy cards I made last week - washi tape sure makes a card CAS no matter how elegant!  I love this new sentiment set for Unity and these butterfly embellishments look so real!

This last card is juse some paper and yarn on kraft with a stamp from a recent SMAK kit, I think.  I love it!!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend and visit all the other friends at http://theunitystampco.blogspot.com.

FWF

TGIF, Unity peeps!  This is all I have today.  I love this washi tape and instantly thought of this adorable itty bitty to pair with it.  My card didn't come out too well but I have ideas for improvement.  One might be to keep this furry beast away from my work area:-)  She is very needy today and wants to be in my lap so....

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and visit all the Unity peeps.  And, remember Unity is having a fabulous sale so check it out!

FWF - Hot Weather Fun!

I am trying to make some cute sachets and this is what I have so far.  The "gossip, hot flashes & crazy" set is one of my new faves!!!  I am going to use ribbon to tie them - there is a casing in there and I plan to add lavender to them.  I think they are pretty cute!

Don't forget to go to Unity for their great sale!!!

Reverse Confetti SFYTT #2

I know I a am a Unity addict but once in a while, I spy something else that I must have!  This time, it is Reverse Confetti by Jen del Muro.  As you may know, the Texas State Regent's symbol this term (DAR) is the peacock and I bought this set "Peacock Pretties" the moment iheartpapers posted it on Facebook.  I also found a peacock background embossing folder that I love!  I always visualized using it with peacock and purple papers.  The background paper is American Crafts Dots and Stripes that I found at Target, of course there are some purple Webster's Pages bloomers I have been hoarding, and some purple pearls.  The focal images are the feather and sentiment from "Peacock Pretties."  I am in love with this set!  I used Concord Grape distress ink on the embossed peacock paper and some Versamark chalk ink for the feathers.

I hope you all like it, I love it!!!  I can't wait to make some more peacock-themed cards to raise funds for our chapter!

Happy Sunday and wish me luck.

FWF on final Friday of vacation:-(

Well, Monday I will be back at work after a several day tour of DC and New England.  Got to spend time with family members in both places so it was fantastic!

I live in Dallas, of course, and it is so hot right now that I cannot stand it!  Before I hit middle age, I was much more resistant to it.  At least I think I was!  Anyway, the June SMAK kit is one of my favorites ever!  As soon as I saw the sun rays, I was in love....  here is the card I made for today to reflect the heat.  I need one of those "You're a hottie" stamps to complete this but I haven't bought it yet:-)

Below is what I really think about today:-)  Please don't take offense but this washi tape was on super markdown for a reason - the "o" doesn't fit on a card this size when you use the hand:-)  It is perfect, though, and definitely captures what it feels like outside.

Have a great weekend, everyone!!  Remember to check out the Unity sale and the other friends so you can win some more stamps....

FWF...

Well, this was available in the last sale that had stamps of the week available to us non-subscribers.  There were several I liked but I had to have this one!  I made this card for my wonderful husband who is nuts to put up with me and all my hobbies (especially stamping)!!  I used some off-white watercolor paper and distress stains and I like the way it looks!  Of course, that woodgrain embossing folder added the perfect touch along with my Target "washi tape."

Leave some comments for a chance to win some stamps on the Unity blog!!

Happy weekend!!!

Friends with Flair on Flag Day!!

Last weekend, we had a fun craft class at DAR House, making items to sell at the State Fair this year. This is what we did -- these are not all Unity stamps but there are several.  See if you can pick them out!

We had a great time working on these!  If you can pick out the one in the middle, it has some washi tape stamps and an owl from a KOTM or SMAK kit:-)

Sorry this looks a bit blurred - a last minute photo from a phone....

Have a great weekend and make sure to stop by the Unity sentiment sale!

FWF .............

I haven't been here in so long - just totally stressed and swamped!:-)  Anyway, here are a few cards I made some time ago.  Right now, I am cutting paper, etc. to take to a workshop tomorrow  to teach them to make cards and stamp - here they are a couple of weeks ago doing some other crafts....

This is a favorite card of mine which I have shown before, clean and simple with a pop of blue on the kraft.  I had some photos of newer cards but I cannot find them.  Go figure!!

Have a wonderful weekend!

FWF and Happy 5th to Unity!!!

It has been so long since I have had a chance to post anything here. Tomorrow I will be taking a bunch of Unity to my chapter house to teach our members to make cards.  Fun, right???  How to decide which stamps to take when you have a limited amount of space? The good news is there is no right answer - they all work!!!

Here is an oldie but goody - I have been buying Unity for nearly four years now - that is amazing since it is the amount of time I have been stamping!  I love my Unity best - I have some other stamps but these speak to me for some reason....just sayin' ---Noelle knows what I mean:-)

Okay, Blogger is not cooperating - I will edit and add my cards later....

TGIF and FWF!!!

It has been a few weeks since I last joined the Friends with Flair!   Things have been super busy and I haven't had any papercrafting time!  These are some tiles I did several months ago.  Tiles make the greatest gifts!  I used some Ippity stamps, Staz-On ink, and I colored them with chalks.

I hope you try a tile project.  They really are fun and easy and people are really impressed when you tell them you made them yourself!

Have a wonderful Friday - if you are in the Northeast, stay warm!  If you are in Texas, we are warm!  No snow for us today:-)
