Happy Hippity Hop!!!

Can you believe that January is over?  It is amazing how time flies....

Here are a couple of recent projects - the first one uses some vintage embroidered sheer trim I found at an antique mall.  I circled it numerous times and, finally, couldn't resist buying it.  I used Sizzix embossing folders for the solid cardstock and colored the little flower from "How You Doin" with a new set of Prismacolors (40% off at Asel Art Supply). I wasn't brave enough to trim the white card backing from the sheer trim but I do plan to try that next time when I am able to stitch the card.  Right now, my Big Shot and paper cutter are on top of my sewing cabinet so getting out the machine is a chore!

Here is my husband's idea of playing a joke on our beloved Rosemary - she is looking up at him and wondering why this object is not edible:-)  She's in her favorite afternoon sun retreat in her cat bed.  She is not spoiled at all....

Yesterday was my husband's birthday so I struggled with a masculine card.  I love these charms - they have a little hole at the top so I inserted these cool vintage brads in them.  I embossed the red paper with a Cuttlebug folder.  The papers are from the 365" 6x6 pad from Pink Paislee - I just love their paper!

Here's a closeup of the brad and charm - ignore my embossing powder error - it's part of the distressed feel of the card.

That's it for today!  I hope you all have a wonderful week and I thank you for stopping by!!!

Hippity Hop!!

Okay, so I can't actually hop right now - lots of knee trouble but it is getting better, I hope!

I am still behind on my Christmas thank you cards but here are a few I have made so far.  The last two have amazing handmade printed paper on them.  All use Ippity stamps.  The second card had a problem with the embossing portion - my glitter paper melted, too:-)  My friend will still love it, though....

I wish you all a happy Monday and have a great week!

2011's First Hippity Hop!!

Happy First Monday of the New Year - when the year is full of promise and hope....

This is a joint project that my friend and I made a while back - she had the fabulous idea of adding the ribbon and the flower - just the right touches for this card.  It also is appropriate for the new year - make every day the best!  That is the only resolution we should make!

You can buy this set from me - it is called "So This is Love"!  Just visit the sidebar and click on "Buy Now."  You won't regret it!

FWF - Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all the blog hoppers today!  These are a few of my tags, etc. for Christmas boxes and wrappers...

The first one is from Webster's pages - the photo didn't turn out well but the recipient loved it.  I love the artsy feel of these Websters Pages sets - they are so appealing.

The back of the box has my trademark, mittens of course.  They are from a past kit of the month (I couldn't find it on the website but it must be October).  Cute, huh?

Then, we have a few gift enclosure cards - the adorable snowmen are from one of the Jillibean Soup sets. I also used one of the Cosmo Cricket sets named for me (Mitten Weather) for the sentiments and snowflake.

I have lots of other projects to complete before Christmas strikes and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday with your families.

Remember to check out all the other bloghoppers here and look for the blinkie because someone is going to win 25 free stamps today:-)

And, check out the Unity sales - lots of stuff to buy with free shipping....

Hippity Hop Monday!!!

I shouldn't be Hippity Hopping since I've got so much Christmas stuff to do but here we go!  I made this cute set of coasters for one of my coworkers for Christmas.  She is very active in her church and I have been thinking for several months that I needed to use the "Devoted" set for her.  Since there are four scriptures, I thought I'd make a set of four coasters in four colors with the "Gurnsey Gingham" border.  They look a little rustic but I kind of like them!  I hope you do too....

They're not quite as I envisioned but I figure she can always re-gift them if she doesn't like them:-)

Have a great week, everyone!! And, remember to leave some love for all the other Hippity Hoppers here.

Hippity Hop!!

Happy Monday?  Today we go back to work after a wonderful 5-day vacation....well, actually, I go to the dentist first thing and then on to work:-(

Here is the card I made today - it didn't turn out quite as I expected but I kind of like it anyway. It is for my sister-in-law's birthday - she collects chickens and roosters and like the country vibe.  I used the new sets "Gurnsey Gingham," "Farm Fresh," and "Party Hat Wishes."  I tried to get the hat on the rooster but it wasn't quite right for the card.  SO, this is what we have:-) This is a card from a Recollections set of cards and envies I got at Michael's - this red matches the "Fired Brick" distress ink perfectly!

Remember to leave some love and visit all the other "chicks" today!

Ippity Hippity Hop Monday!!

Happy Monday Everyone!! I, for one, am looking forward to tomorrow afternoon and five days off in a row!!!  Yippeee....

I went to Michael's this morning to buy some Mod Podge - of course, I found a few other goodies but them my eyes alit on these sets of 3" by 3" cards and envelopes by Recollections.  Each box has 30 cards and envelopes and they are $1.99 per box.  Such a deal, I couldn't pass it up.

Here are samples of all the card designs in the box...

One set has six patterns in red and green and the other has six patterns in the light blue family.

Can you see why they are a stamper's dream?  There is space to add your own images and sentiments with a minimum of time.

See what I came up with so far?  Those Ippity Christmas kits have just the right images and sentiments for these cute little cards.  These will make fabulous gift enclosures for Christmas....

Happy Turkey Day, Everyone!!  And, remember, Ippity stamps are the perfect gift for anyone...

Saturday - A Change of Pace

Just so you know, although most of my stamps may be from Unity, I do own stamps from other companies too!!

Here is a Christmas card I made using Verve stamps.  This is from the "Ornamental Christmas" set.  Verve sells beautiful clear stamps that make the most beautiful, clear impressions.  Look at the detail in this ornament!  It is so elegant and lovely....

This is part of a large group of cards I'll be mailing to my mother this week along with some Christmas stamps so she can get started on her Christmas card list....

Have a great Saturday!
