Friends with Flair on Friday!!!

Happy Friday - we loved the Ippity release and the Webster's Pages release yesterday was the icing on the cake!!

To change the subject:-)  here are a couple of Christmas cards I made this week...of course, I loved the mittens from October's Kit of the Month - how cute are they with the paper from the Cosmo Cricket "Mitten Weather" minideck?  How could I resist buying paper that is named for me....the "Noel" is a Sizzix die that makes these cards oh so easy.  I used a grey ink snowflake on the second card and I really like the way it turned out.  The cards are from Making Memories - I believe I got them from my friend Pat at Paper Maniac.

So, you really should try out this stamp - it is adorable and remember that nothing is better than a Mitten!!

Have fun along the hop and look for the blinkie so you can have a shot at winning some red rubbah today!!

And, of course, get your Ippity here - I haven't got the new sets posted here yet but you can always email me if you want to make a purchase.

Monday Hippity Hop!!!

Can you feel the excitement!!??  The new release is almost here!  But, that doesn't mean the old releases have lost any of their appeal....

I started making some Christmas cards this weekend - I plan to send them to my mother next week so she'll have some handmade ones to start her Christmas card list off....this photo didn't come out very well - the label stamp is from "Season of Joy"- I used every single Ippity snowflake on the background - subtly stamped in light grey and I put glossy accents on the holly.  I made the whole thing red to make it stand out against that cute plaid Mitten Weather paper.  Didn't you know that Unity and Cosmo named their stamps and paper after me???LOL

The card is from Making Memories and I got it from Paper Maniac, one of my favorite online stores:-)

So, remember to get your Ippity here and have a great week!  I can't wait to see what the gals make with the rest of the new release!

Anyway, see you later and have a great week...

Hippity Hop!!

Happy Monday everyone!!!

I have one project today - made from the adorable new Ippity set, "That's Creepy."  I admit I wasn't crazy about this set until I took the rubber out of the package and stamped every image for my Ippity sales catalog.  This little journaling block is so fabulous and versatile.  I can see it used for tags, in scrapbooks, and as a mini-card.  Here it is!  I even love the spider and the circle...

That's it for today - remember to come see me at the Expo at Waterview Church of Christ on Saturday, October 16 from 9 to 2!

Hippity Hop - State Fair Style

Hello Hippity Hoppers!!

Happy Monday - the great State Fair of Texas opened on Friday and it is living up to its name!  We have been there three times already (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and plan on going a few more:-)  I don't know what it is about it - I think it is that there is something for everyone and people from all walks of life can coexist there peacefully....

This is what they were giving away to the women this weeked when they walked through the gate....  I've got two - one for reading and one for making into those cool paper flowers everyone is making these days. I don't have a sample yet but I will next week! Nice eye candy on the cover, though.

Of course, I also have an Ippity project that I totally borrowed from Eryn - a banner for my Ippity booth at the Home Based Business Expo at Waterview Church of Christ in Richardson, TX on Saturday, October 16 from 9 to 2.  I hope you'll visit if you're in the neighborhood!

I used three sets for this - the letters are from "Alphabetically Adorable," the borders are from "Sweet Thoughts of Springs," and the music background is from "Music of My Heart."  Once I stamped the borders, I decided to cut around them on the top of each triangle for a little more interest. I used Nestabilities for the oval and scalloped oval that I put the letters on.  I think it looks pretty cute:-)

I hope you all have a great week and can have as much fun as we'll be having trying the fried foods and visiting the Fair attractions!

Remember to leave some love and visit all the other Ippity folks on the Hop today!

Hippity Hop!!!!

Happy Monday!!!  It's been a while since I've had a chance to participate in the Hop and I have missed you all!!!  I spent all day yesterday crafting and getting products ready for a show.....not a craft show but a home-based business expo at the Waterview Church of Christ in Richardson, TX on October 16 from 9 to 2.  I hope some of you local gals will visit me!  I will have all of the Ippity kits I have in stock as well as a few of the new release. And, of course, I'll be happy to take orders for the sets I run out of:-)

I also had to make a card for a new arrival - a baby boy who was born this week.  Here's the card - not cutesy since Mom likes darker colors like olive and brown:-) I love this Cosmo Cricket paper - I think I got it with a Unity Scrapbook kit.  The card does show both sides of the double-sided paper....  I am addicted to Cosmo Cricket's papers - I bought a few different decks from Limelight and Paper Maniac recently.  I love doing business with both of them - both have superior customer service...

I have wanted to try making some of these fabulous embellishments I keep seeing on the Ippity blog - here's my take on some of these fabulous "Now and Always" flowers.  I had some epoxy buttons that had just the right colors.  It is amazing how many items you can make from one piece of scrap paper!  I am bagging them up for my show - I doubt I'd be able to sell them but I want everyone to see some creative ways to use our fabulous Ippity stamps!

Well, I hope to see some of you soon!  In the meantime, I'll be busy at the great State Fair of Texas ffrom 9/24 through 10/17 - you know it's my favorite time of the year!  We've got our season passes and we're ready to roll.  I'll be working out there a couple of days at the membership table in the Continental DAR House so maybe I'll see you there!

It's Been a While - FWF

Well, I've been so busy of late that I haven't had time to do any crafting - I did make a few little cards last weekend, though.  Sometimes, you've just got to get out those stamps!  I totally love the butterfly below - it is fantastic and that sentiment is perfect.  I believe I have it all but maybe I can always use some more stamps:-)  I love the whole set - a store kit (the whole thing) with "key to joy" and "the right words."  The birthday stamp below is also in this set.

I love these Ippity papers and Unity stamps (although the turtles are not Unity).  I used a decorative stitch on my sewing machine for the border and love the way it turned out!!

This button stamp is from a Samantha Walker cowgirl set and the "Seasons Change" stamp is from a recent Kit of the Month.  I love it!!  And, I am waiting for the seasons to change - it's still in the 90's here!

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!  And thanks again schnauzermom for your sweet gesture - I'll return the favor one of these days!!!!!!!!!

Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop

Welcome to the Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop! Verve turns three today and we’re celebrating with a hop, hop, hop! If you've already been hopping along, you arrived here from Julie's blogIf not, head on over to Julee's Blog(owner of Verve), for all the info on how to win prizes (after all, what's a party without presents?), and to start hopping from the beginning. If there's a hiccup along the hop, you can always head to the Master Hop List to get the full list of links.

This is my first time on the Verve blog hop - I have been admiring their stamps for a year now and I do have a couple of their sets - "Up Up and Away" is one of my all-time favorites. I also used "Uplifting Phrases," and "Starlight, Starbright" for the great sentiments.  I used it for a graduation card for a very special male family member and I hope he likes it!
Here are a few views so you can get the full Verve goodness from it:-)  There is a subtle watermark on the cardstock - it is a passport stamp background for this future world traveler.

In case you are wondering where I took this photo - the card stand is sitting inside a flat of microgreens outside on our patio.  I wanted to get a good photo with natural light and this was the only way to do it.

I sure wish I had some more to show - unfortunately, I'm back to work and time is short again.  I wanted to make sure I joined to blog hop to show the Verve folks and their design team how much I appreciate them!
Thanks for hopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to Joan’s blog, for a little more Verve-y goodness.

Please leave some love for all the bloghoppers!!

Just Rite Stampers Challenge JRC_026

This weeks' challenge is to make a shaped card, preferably using Spellbinders Nestabilities.  I don't have many of these but I do have the paisley and I thought it might make a good strawberry.  I am known for my collection of strawberries and I always love to see them.  I started out with a template from The Cutting Cafe but I changed my mind and used the paisley die instead.  I had to take the card outside to photograph it because I didn't have enough light inside.  I figured that I would make this a little pincushion and there are a couple of pins at the top going through the ribbon.  I used a cute daisy button, added lace, and stitched around the entire card.  The sentiment and the border are both cut from Nestabilities.  I added some pearls to make it pop. I just love these Just Rite stamps!

Enjoy your day!

Hippity Hop

Happy Monday - I hope everyone is getting to enjoy a restful day off!

I have one project to share - I was hoping to have more but it has not been my day today:-)

Here's a closeup of that flower - the bling is from Webster's (courtesy of Limelight) but the flowers are from a Hawaiian lei I picked up on the clearance aisle at Target for $2.50!  It was a set of eight leis and as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it - there are hundreds of flowers in four different (bright, Island colors).  Pretty cute, huh?

Happy Holiday everyone and remember to get your Ippity here!!  Visit all the other bloghoppers here.

Unity's FWF!!!

Happy Friday - we all know it means FWF is here!!!

I've got three projects today - I have been vacationing but feeling a bit under the weather so I've been less productive than I'd hoped.  Oh, well:-)

First up, another card with the Victorian Velvet distress ink - I love this stuff!  It is so perfect with this paper from the Rustic Stack by DSW - it's sort of a variation on Monday's card.  I used that big flower from Ippity's "Now and Always" and the sentiment is from "Simply Home."  I'm loving this card!

My second project is the one I've dreamed of since I used "Butterfly Beauty" for my previous coasters.  I won a Unity single of my choice a few months ago and selected "Lovely Lilacs."  I made some tiles that use part of the image and I love them!  Sorry, I just realized that the top tile is the one where I didn't get a good impression of the lilacs:-)  Sorry about that!  It still looks fabulous, though!  My lilac chalk didn't hang on very well, but I kind of like the faded look right now.

Third is a cute card with a great Unity bicycle stamp and sentiment from the August 2009 KOTM, one of my all-time favorites!

Remember to leave some love and visit all the other FWF people today here. And, remember to get your Ippity here!

And, most of all, be kind to each other.
